1984 Corvette Differential Installed. RX-7 now has 2.59 gear ratio! Broke a half shaft U-joint on a 1.55 short time launch. Working on retrofitting TurboII CV joints in conjunction with Vette rear.

Leaking crossover pipe = no spooling of turbo. Transmission hang shifts 3-4 for almost 2 seconds. Lot’s of room for improvement!

New Best Time At The Track: 12.3 @ 118.23MPH - Stock Motor!

7/3/2002 - Made 4 passes @ the track. IC hoses kept popping off due to no lip on the pipes. Best time of 13.2 @ 104mph. Lot’s  of tuning to do and bugs to fix. Car should be in the 115mph range, but didn’t expect too much with hoses popping off.

6/20/2002 - Intercooler Piping and Exhaust system complete!

5/23/2002 - Returned from the Buick GS Nationals. Car has been sitting for 2 weeks.  Waiting on Intercooler piping sample for final fitting.

MisRed is a 1987 Mazda RX-7 SE powered by a 1987 Buick Grand National 3.8L SFI Turbo/Intercooled motor. The BRF 2004r trans is also utilized from the Buick along with the ECM and complete SFI wiring harness. This website will document most of the steps taken to create the car and illustrate its current state. When finished, this car will rate 10 second time slips without compromising modern street manners. This means A/C, Stereo, Power Steering, 25+mpg and a very quiet exhaust.
